ABC reading challenge

So, I don't know about everybody reading this, but I love books.  People who don't love books . . . I'm sorry, but I just don't understand.

Anyway, I'm not here to lecture.  I'm here to talk about a reading challenge.  It's called the ABC Reading Challenge.  I found this challenge at Katelyn's blog: The Life of a Teenage Writer.  It looked awesome, and I love reading challenges, so I thought I'd do it.  This is how it goes:

You pick books with titles going from A to Z, and have to read all of them by whatever goal you set.  Now, since one of my dreams is to graduate this December, I might not be able to finish it by then, so I'm setting my goal for the 1st of March.  This is the list of the books I've chosen.

A = Article 5, by Kristen Simmons

This looks like an interesting book.  I'd love to see how it goes, with the bill of rights dispersed with.

B = Blood Red Road, by Moira Young

I'll see how this one is.  The story line looks nice.

C = The Compound, by S.A. Bodeen

I love stories like this.  They live underground.  I always dreamed of living underground, I mean, wouldn't it be awesome?

D = The Dead and the Gone, by Susan Beth Pfeffer 

I loved Life As We Knew It.  It's one of my favorite books ever, so I can't wait to read The Dead and the Gone, the next book in the series.

and Dissidence, by Jamie Canosa

Ooo!  Defiance!  Yes!

E = Extras, by Scott Westerfeld

I read the first three books in this series and they were really good.  I don't know if I'm really looking forward to this, because they have a completely different character - living on the other side of the earth - telling the story.  But it was an 'E', so I'm going to read it.

F = Fearless, by Tim Lott

I saw this book and knew I wanted to read it.  I mean, the title just . . . *squeals in delight*

G = Girl in the Arena, by Lise Haines

This looks a little freaky, but the storyline looks good.  I'll see how it goes.

H = How I Live Now, by Meg Rosoff 

No adults in charge . . .

and House of Stairs, by William Sleator

I love books like this.  It's a puzzle!

I = Into the Still Blue, by Veronica Rossi

The third Under the Never Sky book.

J = Just Deserts, by Eric Walters

This book looks awesome!!!  It has every thing I would read in it!

K = Katana, by Cole Gibsen 

I love ninja books.

and The Knife of Never Letting Go, by Patrick Ness

This has been on my list for a while, so I might as well just have two K's.

L = The Last Prophet, by Jeff W. Horton

I love books like this, but I'm kind of worried it won't be accurate.  I guess I'll have to see.

M = The Maze Runner, by James Dashner

I've heard so much about this, but I have to buy it to read it so I haven't gotten around to ordering it.  Here's my chance, I guess.

N =  The New Recruit, by Jill Williamson

I've wanted to read this forever.  Well, ever since I saw it.

O = The Other Side of the Island, by Allegra Goodman

I'm not actually too excited about this.  Maybe it'll be better than I think.

P = The Princess Bride, by William Goldman 

Come on, everyone knows this movie.  But I've never read the book, so here I go.

and Pippi Longstockings, by Astrid Lindgren

I've always loved this movie, like The Princess Bride, but I haven't read the book.

Q = Quarantine, by Jim Crace

I really hope they don't make this awful and completely against the Bible.

R = Rootless, by Chris Howard

If you know me, you know I love trees.  I have to read this.  Hopefully, it won't be all about environmentalists.

S = Survive, by Alex Morel 

Yeah, this one I've always wanted to read.  Hopefully, it won't just be a love story.

and Skinned, by Robin Wasserman

Skinned.  I know.  The title is . . . yeah.  But the book looks okay, if not a little wacky.

T = Through the Ever Night, by Veronica Rossi

I'm sort of in love with Under the Never Sky.  I don't even know why I like it, but I do.  So I'm so excited to read book #2!

U = Unlovable, by Sherry Gammon

This story looks amazing, but I'm not too big a fan of romance.  I'm hoping that won't swallow the entire novel.

V = Variant, by Robison Wells

This book looks awesome.  I love high-security schools like that.  Why, you ask?  Don't ask me.

W = This World We Live In, by Susan Beth Pfeffer

Book #3 of Life As We Knew It.

X = XVI, by Julia Karr 

I'm stealing this one from Katelyn.  She's right.  It is very hard to find a good 'X' book.

Y = The Year of Fog, by Michelle Richmond

This looks strange, but after reading description I have to find out what happened to the girl.

Z =Zorro, by Isabel Allende

I love action, and I've seen this movie.
